Cognisync Puts New Face on Java.net
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 1, 2011 : Cognisync, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in the design, construction and management of web-based technology communities of action, today announced the re-launch of Java.net.
Java.net, sponsored by the Oracle Corporation and originally launched in 2003 is the world's largest community of Java developers, with over 500,000 registered users and 5,000 projects. Cognisync, in conjunction with Oracle's Kenai engineering team, redesigned and relaunched the Java.net content management layer. Cognisync also took over hosting and systems management for the Java.net CMS.
"Upgrading the CMS on Java.net positions Java.net to take its community to the next level," says Gary Thompson, Program Manager for Java.net. "Cognisync's unique combination of Web 2.0 development skills and technology community strategies made them the logical choice to lead this effort."
Cognisync, Inc. is a technology solutions company founded in February 2007 with the intention of helping technology providers make sense of what Web 2.0 is and how to use it to drive adoption of products, standards and technologies. Cognisync is comprised of a small, highly specialized team of business and technology professionals, and is headquartered in Florida, with development offices in New Jersey and Utah.
